DISTRICT 04-DFW RACES NET
The primary function of the DISTRICT 04-DFW RACES NET is to establish a RACES Radio Net within
District 04-DFW Texas to provide communications during emergencies and other non-emergency community events consistent with the FCC Rules, to provide education and training in all aspects of Net operations, to serve as a forum for discussions, and to foster fellowship among radio amateurs.
It shall be our purpose to further the exchange of information and cooperation between members, to promote radio knowledge, fraternalism and individual operating efficiency, and to so conduct club programs and activities as to advance the general interest and welfare of Amateur Radio in the community.
The DISTRICT 04-DFW RACES NET sponsors a Monthly Net on Monday evenings at 8:30 PM (CST).
The Net is held on the Dallas W5EBQ Repeater: RX Frequency: 146.7 MHz (Offset: -0.6 MHz) TX Frequency: 146.1 MHz - TCSS: 110.9 Hz.
The Monthly Net is open to all FCC-licensed amateur operators who are also active credentialled members of a City, County or State RACES organziation located within the current geogrpahical boundaries of District 04-DFW as defined by the Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM).
The Net will simulate communications for training under controlled conditions as well as providing news and announcements of general interest to the group.
